Jeff was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. Jeff graduated with a Masters of Science degree in Information Systems in Summer of 2015. Jeff's thesis, "A Targeted Denial of Service Attack on Data Caching Networks", 2015 was published and presented at many higher education conferences and security user group meetings. Jeff graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Information Technology with a concentration in Security Administration in 2010.

Jeff starting working in the tech industry in 2009. Jeff currently works for IT Security at the University of North Florida as the Assistant Director of IT Security. Jeff runs a team of 5 analysts and engineers that work to protect and secure data, computers, and users daily at UNF using a wide range of IT Security tools and enterprise applications. Jeff worked as an Senior IT Security Analyst and an IT Security Analyst at UNF since 2015.

Jeff's previous position at the University of North Florida was a Applications System Analyst. Jeff managed the universities LMS (Blackboard), portal (Mywings), Digital Assest Management System (ShareStream), and other various enterprise systems. His first job was in QA at System Innovators. A year later, Jeff was promoted to a Software Engineer and worked with System Innovators until July 2011.

Jeff's skills include: Enterprise Security, Vulnerability Management, Intrusion Prevention, Firewall and Router ACL, Windows Group Policy, Database Administration (MSSQL), Server Administration (Windows, Unix, Linux), Programming (.NET, C#, Java, JavaScript), and many other technical tools and techniques.
